How To Uninstall tomcat6-docs on wheezy

To uninstall tomcat6-docs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tomcat6-docs

Servlet and JSP engine -- documentation Debian 7.0 doc 6.0.45+dfsg-1~deb7u1

sudo apt-get remove tomcat6-docs

Which will remove just the tomcat6-docs package itself.

Uninstall tomcat6-docs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tomcat6-docs

This will remove the tomcat6-docs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tomcat6-docs then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tomcat6-docs  

Or similarly, like this tomcat6-docs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tomcat6-docs
