How To Uninstall tomcat7-admin on wheezy

To uninstall tomcat7-admin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tomcat7-admin

Servlet and JSP engine -- admin web applications Debian 7.0 java 7.0.28-4+deb7u4

sudo apt-get remove tomcat7-admin

Which will remove just the tomcat7-admin package itself.

Uninstall tomcat7-admin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tomcat7-admin

This will remove the tomcat7-admin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tomcat7-admin then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tomcat7-admin  

Or similarly, like this tomcat7-admin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tomcat7-admin
