To uninstall traceroute just follow these instructions.
/debian/wheezy/main///install/index.html Traces the route taken by packets over an IPv4/IPv6 network Debian 7.0 net 1:2.0.18-3
sudo apt-get remove traceroute
Which will remove just the traceroute package itself.
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove traceroute
This will remove the traceroute package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
If you also want to delete your local/config files for traceroute then this will work.
sudo apt-get purge traceroute
Or similarly, like this traceroute
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove traceroute
