How To Uninstall ttf-fanwood on wheezy

To uninstall ttf-fanwood just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ttf-fanwood

transitional dummy package Debian 7.0 oldlibs 1.1-2

sudo apt-get remove ttf-fanwood

Which will remove just the ttf-fanwood package itself.

Uninstall ttf-fanwood and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ttf-fanwood

This will remove the ttf-fanwood package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ttf-fanwood then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ttf-fanwood  

Or similarly, like this ttf-fanwood

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ttf-fanwood
