How To Uninstall tuxcmd on wheezy

To uninstall tuxcmd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tuxcmd

twin-panel (commander-style) file manager using GTK+ 2 Debian 7.0 utils 0.6.70+dfsg-1

sudo apt-get remove tuxcmd

Which will remove just the tuxcmd package itself.

Uninstall tuxcmd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tuxcmd

This will remove the tuxcmd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tuxcmd then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tuxcmd  

Or similarly, like this tuxcmd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tuxcmd
