How To Uninstall xcite On Debian 7
To uninstall xcite just follow these instructions.
Are you having problems? You can always add xciteagain by following the instructions at this link.
Uninstall just xcite
http://installion.co.uk/debian/wheezy/main/x/xcite/uninstall/index.htmlexciting cite utility for EmacsenDebian 7.0mail1.60-1sudo apt-get remove xcite
This will remove just the xcite package itself.
Uninstall xcite and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xcite
This will remove the xcite package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for xcite then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xcite
Or similarly, like this xcite
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xcite
