How To Uninstall fglrx-driver on wheezy

To uninstall fglrx-driver just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fglrx-driver

non-free ATI/AMD RadeonHD display driver Debian 7.0 non-free/x11 1:12-6+point-3

sudo apt-get remove fglrx-driver

Which will remove just the fglrx-driver package itself.

Uninstall fglrx-driver and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fglrx-driver

This will remove the fglrx-driver package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fglrx-driver then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fglrx-driver  

Or similarly, like this fglrx-driver

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fglrx-driver
