How To Uninstall network-manager-pptp On Kali Linux 2017.1

To uninstall network-manager-pptp just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just network-manager-pptp

network management framework (PPTP plugin core) and connections, attempting to keep active network connectivity when available. It manages ethernet, WiFi, mobile broadband (WWAN), and PPPoE devices, and provides VPN integration with a variety of different VPN services.Kali Linux 2017.1net1.2.4-2
sudo apt-get remove network-manager-pptp

This will remove just the network-manager-pptp package itself.

Uninstall network-manager-pptp and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove network-manager-pptp

This will remove the network-manager-pptp package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for network-manager-pptp then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge network-manager-pptp

Or similarly, like this network-manager-pptp

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove network-manager-pptp
