How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg on kali

To uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg

X.Org X server -- AMD/ATI display driver wrapper (debugging symbols) Radeon, FireGL, FireMV, FirePro and FireStream series. This driver is actually a wrapper that loads one of the 'mach64', 'r128' or 'radeon' sub-drivers depending on the hardware. These sub-drivers are brought through package dependencies. Kali Linux 2017.1 debug 1:7.9.0-1

sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg

Which will remove just the xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg

This will remove the xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg  

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-ati-dbg
