How To Uninstall kcharselect On Linux Mint 17.1

To uninstall kcharselect just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just kcharselect

special character utility available on the keyboard. It can search for characters by Unicode number, display characters in any font, and copy characters to the clipboard so they can be pasted into documents.Linux Mint 17.1utils4:4.14.2-0ubuntu1~ubuntu14.04~ppa1
sudo apt-get remove kcharselect

This will remove just the kcharselect package itself.

Uninstall kcharselect and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove kcharselect

This will remove the kcharselect package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for kcharselect then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge kcharselect

Or similarly, like this kcharselect

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove kcharselect
