How To Uninstall atril-dbg On Linux Mint 17.3
To uninstall atril-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just atril-dbg

This will remove just the atril-dbg package itself.
Uninstall atril-dbg and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove atril-dbg
This will remove the atril-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for atril-dbg then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge atril-dbg
Or similarly, like this atril-dbg
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove atril-dbg
