How To Uninstall eom-dbg On Linux Mint 17.3

To uninstall eom-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eom-dbg

Eye of MATE graphics viewer program (debugging symbols) desktop which uses the gdk-pixbuf library. It can deal with large images, and zoom and scroll with constant memory usage. Its goals are simplicity and standards compliance.Linux Mint 17.3debug1.12.2-1+rosa
sudo apt-get remove eom-dbg

This will remove just the eom-dbg package itself.

Uninstall eom-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eom-dbg

This will remove the eom-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eom-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eom-dbg

Or similarly, like this eom-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eom-dbg
