How To Uninstall ubiquity On Linux Mint 18.1

To uninstall ubiquity just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubiquity

Linux Mint live CD installer and Linux Mint-based systems, and to reuse code from d-i for ease of maintenance.Linux Mint 18.1admin2.21.63+linuxmint7
sudo apt-get remove ubiquity

This will remove just the ubiquity package itself.

Uninstall ubiquity and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubiquity

This will remove the ubiquity package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubiquity then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubiquity

Or similarly, like this ubiquity

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubiquity
