How To Uninstall spotify-client On Linux Mint 18.2
To uninstall spotify-client just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just spotify-client

This will remove just the spotify-client package itself.
Uninstall spotify-client and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove spotify-client
This will remove the spotify-client package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for spotify-client then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge spotify-client
Or similarly, like this spotify-client
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove spotify-client
