How To Uninstall geoipupdate On Parrot 3.7

To uninstall geoipupdate just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just geoipupdate

MaxMind GeoIP/GeoIP2 database updates binary databases, as supplied by MaxMind. These are typically paid products; for the free GeoLite databases, the packages geoip-database or geoip-database-contrib can be installed instead.Parrot 3.7contrib/net2.3.1-1
sudo apt-get remove geoipupdate

This will remove just the geoipupdate package itself.

Uninstall geoipupdate and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove geoipupdate

This will remove the geoipupdate package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for geoipupdate then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge geoipupdate

Or similarly, like this geoipupdate

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove geoipupdate
