To uninstall mariadb-plugin-spider just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mariadb-plugin-spider

Spider storage engine for MariaDB partitioning and xa transactions, and allows tables of different MariaDB instances to be handled as if they were on the same instance. It refers to one possible implementation of ISO/IEC 9075-9:2008 SQL/MED.Parrot 3.7database10.1.24-6
sudo apt-get remove mariadb-plugin-spider

This will remove just the mariadb-plugin-spider package itself.

Uninstall mariadb-plugin-spider and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mariadb-plugin-spider

This will remove the mariadb-plugin-spider package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mariadb-plugin-spider then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mariadb-plugin-spider

Or similarly, like this mariadb-plugin-spider

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mariadb-plugin-spider
