How To Uninstall kgamma On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall kgamma just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just kgamma

monitor calibration panel for KDEUbuntu 12.04 LTSgraphics4:4.8.2-0ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove kgamma

This will remove just the kgamma package itself.

Uninstall kgamma and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove kgamma

This will remove the kgamma package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for kgamma then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge kgamma

Or similarly, like this kgamma

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove kgamma
