How To Uninstall python-all On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall python-all just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just python-all

package depending on all supported Python runtime versionsUbuntu 12.04 LTSpython2.7.3-0ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove python-all

This will remove just the python-all package itself.

Uninstall python-all and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove python-all

This will remove the python-all package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for python-all then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge python-all

Or similarly, like this python-all

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove python-all
