How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-core-dbg On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall xserver-xorg-core-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-core-dbg

Xorg – the X.Org X server (debugging symbols)Ubuntu 12.04 LTSx112:1.11.4-0ubuntu10
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-core-dbg

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-core-dbg package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-core-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-core-dbg

This will remove the xserver-xorg-core-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-core-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-core-dbg

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-core-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-core-dbg
