How To Uninstall dahdi-firmware-nonfree On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall dahdi-firmware-nonfree just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dahdi-firmware-nonfree

DAHDI non-free firmwareUbuntu 12.04 LTSmultiverse/comm2.5.0.1-1
sudo apt-get remove dahdi-firmware-nonfree

This will remove just the dahdi-firmware-nonfree package itself.

Uninstall dahdi-firmware-nonfree and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dahdi-firmware-nonfree

This will remove the dahdi-firmware-nonfree package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dahdi-firmware-nonfree then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dahdi-firmware-nonfree

Or similarly, like this dahdi-firmware-nonfree

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dahdi-firmware-nonfree
