How To Uninstall hwloc-nox On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall hwloc-nox just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just hwloc-nox

Hierarchical view of the machine – non-X version of utilitiesUbuntu 12.04 LTSuniverse/admin1.3.1-1
sudo apt-get remove hwloc-nox

This will remove just the hwloc-nox package itself.

Uninstall hwloc-nox and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove hwloc-nox

This will remove the hwloc-nox package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for hwloc-nox then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge hwloc-nox

Or similarly, like this hwloc-nox

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove hwloc-nox
