How To Uninstall s3cmd On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall s3cmd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just s3cmd

command-line Amazon S3 clientUbuntu 12.04 LTSuniverse/admin1.0.0-1
sudo apt-get remove s3cmd

This will remove just the s3cmd package itself.

Uninstall s3cmd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove s3cmd

This will remove the s3cmd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for s3cmd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge s3cmd

Or similarly, like this s3cmd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove s3cmd
