How To Uninstall ubuntu-virt-mgmt On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

To uninstall ubuntu-virt-mgmt just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ubuntu-virt-mgmt

Common packages useful for managing virtual machines graphicallyUbuntu 12.04 LTSuniverse/metapackages1.3
sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-virt-mgmt

This will remove just the ubuntu-virt-mgmt package itself.

Uninstall ubuntu-virt-mgmt and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ubuntu-virt-mgmt

This will remove the ubuntu-virt-mgmt package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ubuntu-virt-mgmt then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ubuntu-virt-mgmt

Or similarly, like this ubuntu-virt-mgmt

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ubuntu-virt-mgmt
