How To Uninstall binutils-multiarch-dev On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall binutils-multiarch-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just binutils-multiarch-dev

GNU binary utilities that support multi-arch targets (BFD development files)Ubuntu 14.04 LTSdevel2.24-5ubuntu3
sudo apt-get remove binutils-multiarch-dev

This will remove just the binutils-multiarch-dev package itself.

Uninstall binutils-multiarch-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove binutils-multiarch-dev

This will remove the binutils-multiarch-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for binutils-multiarch-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge binutils-multiarch-dev

Or similarly, like this binutils-multiarch-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove binutils-multiarch-dev
