How To Uninstall ccache On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall ccache just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ccache

Compiler cache for fast recompilation of C/C++ codeUbuntu 14.04 LTSdevel3.1.9-1
sudo apt-get remove ccache

This will remove just the ccache package itself.

Uninstall ccache and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ccache

This will remove the ccache package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ccache then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ccache

Or similarly, like this ccache

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ccache
