How To Uninstall devscripts On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall devscripts just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just devscripts

sudo apt-get remove devscripts

This will remove just the devscripts package itself.

Uninstall devscripts and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove devscripts

This will remove the devscripts package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for devscripts then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge devscripts

Or similarly, like this devscripts

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove devscripts
