How To Uninstall dnsmasq-utils On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall dnsmasq-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dnsmasq-utils

Utilities for manipulating DHCP leasesUbuntu 14.04 LTSnet2.68-1
sudo apt-get remove dnsmasq-utils

This will remove just the dnsmasq-utils package itself.

Uninstall dnsmasq-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dnsmasq-utils

This will remove the dnsmasq-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dnsmasq-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dnsmasq-utils

Or similarly, like this dnsmasq-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dnsmasq-utils
