How To Uninstall gnome-bluetooth On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall gnome-bluetooth just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just gnome-bluetooth

GNOME Bluetooth toolsUbuntu 14.04 LTSgnome3.8.2.1-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove gnome-bluetooth

This will remove just the gnome-bluetooth package itself.

Uninstall gnome-bluetooth and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gnome-bluetooth

This will remove the gnome-bluetooth package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for gnome-bluetooth then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge gnome-bluetooth

Or similarly, like this gnome-bluetooth

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gnome-bluetooth
