How To Uninstall haproxy On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall haproxy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just haproxy

fast and reliable load balancing reverse proxyUbuntu 14.04 LTSnet1.4.24-2
sudo apt-get remove haproxy

This will remove just the haproxy package itself.

Uninstall haproxy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove haproxy

This will remove the haproxy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for haproxy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge haproxy

Or similarly, like this haproxy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove haproxy
