How To Uninstall language-pack-gnome-ja On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall language-pack-gnome-ja just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just language-pack-gnome-ja

GNOME translation updates for language JapaneseUbuntu 14.04 LTStranslations1:14.04+20140410
sudo apt-get remove language-pack-gnome-ja

This will remove just the language-pack-gnome-ja package itself.

Uninstall language-pack-gnome-ja and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove language-pack-gnome-ja

This will remove the language-pack-gnome-ja package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for language-pack-gnome-ja then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge language-pack-gnome-ja

Or similarly, like this language-pack-gnome-ja

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove language-pack-gnome-ja
