How To Uninstall pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg

PulseAudio ESD compatibility layer (debugging symbols)Ubuntu 14.04 LTSsound1:4.0-0ubuntu11
sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg

This will remove just the pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg package itself.

Uninstall pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg

This will remove the pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg

Or similarly, like this pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove pulseaudio-esound-compat-dbg
