How To Uninstall sssd-krb5 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall sssd-krb5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just sssd-krb5

System Security Services Daemon — Kerberos back endUbuntu 14.04 LTSutils1.11.5-1ubuntu3
sudo apt-get remove sssd-krb5

This will remove just the sssd-krb5 package itself.

Uninstall sssd-krb5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sssd-krb5

This will remove the sssd-krb5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for sssd-krb5 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge sssd-krb5

Or similarly, like this sssd-krb5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sssd-krb5
