How To Uninstall sssd-proxy On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall sssd-proxy just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just sssd-proxy

System Security Services Daemon — proxy back endUbuntu 14.04 LTSutils1.11.5-1ubuntu3
sudo apt-get remove sssd-proxy

This will remove just the sssd-proxy package itself.

Uninstall sssd-proxy and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sssd-proxy

This will remove the sssd-proxy package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for sssd-proxy then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge sssd-proxy

Or similarly, like this sssd-proxy

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sssd-proxy
