How To Uninstall thunderbird-locale-gd On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall thunderbird-locale-gd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thunderbird-locale-gd

Gaelic; Scottish Gaelic language pack for ThunderbirdUbuntu 14.04 LTSweb1:24.4.0+build1-0ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-locale-gd

This will remove just the thunderbird-locale-gd package itself.

Uninstall thunderbird-locale-gd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-gd

This will remove the thunderbird-locale-gd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-locale-gd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-locale-gd

Or similarly, like this thunderbird-locale-gd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-gd
