How To Uninstall thunderbird-locale-it On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Uninstall just thunderbird-locale-it

This will remove just the thunderbird-locale-it package itself.
Uninstall thunderbird-locale-it and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-it
This will remove the thunderbird-locale-it package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for thunderbird-locale-it then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thunderbird-locale-it
Or similarly, like this thunderbird-locale-it
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thunderbird-locale-it
