How To Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-s3 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall xserver-xorg-video-s3 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just xserver-xorg-video-s3

X.Org X server — legacy S3 display driverUbuntu 14.04 LTSx111:0.6.5-0ubuntu4
sudo apt-get remove xserver-xorg-video-s3

This will remove just the xserver-xorg-video-s3 package itself.

Uninstall xserver-xorg-video-s3 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-s3

This will remove the xserver-xorg-video-s3 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for xserver-xorg-video-s3 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge xserver-xorg-video-s3

Or similarly, like this xserver-xorg-video-s3

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xserver-xorg-video-s3
