How To Uninstall yasm On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall yasm just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just yasm

modular assembler with multiple syntaxes supportUbuntu 14.04 LTSdevel1.2.0-1ubuntu1
sudo apt-get remove yasm

This will remove just the yasm package itself.

Uninstall yasm and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove yasm

This will remove the yasm package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for yasm then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge yasm

Or similarly, like this yasm

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove yasm
