How To Uninstall vboot-utils On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall vboot-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just vboot-utils

Chrome OS verified boot utilsUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/admin0~20121212-3
sudo apt-get remove vboot-utils

This will remove just the vboot-utils package itself.

Uninstall vboot-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove vboot-utils

This will remove the vboot-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for vboot-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge vboot-utils

Or similarly, like this vboot-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove vboot-utils
