How To Uninstall vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

To uninstall vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice

Plugin that adds support for full featured HD-DVB cards to VDRUbuntu 14.04 LTSuniverse/video2.0.3-1
sudo apt-get remove vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice

This will remove just the vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice package itself.

Uninstall vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice

This will remove the vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice

Or similarly, like this vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove vdr-plugin-dvbhddevice
