How To Uninstall dconf-gsettings-backend On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall dconf-gsettings-backend just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just dconf-gsettings-backend

simple configuration storage system – GSettings back-endUbuntu 15.04libs0.22.0-1
sudo apt-get remove dconf-gsettings-backend

This will remove just the dconf-gsettings-backend package itself.

Uninstall dconf-gsettings-backend and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove dconf-gsettings-backend

This will remove the dconf-gsettings-backend package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for dconf-gsettings-backend then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge dconf-gsettings-backend

Or similarly, like this dconf-gsettings-backend

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove dconf-gsettings-backend
