How To Uninstall default-jdk On Ubuntu 15.04

To uninstall default-jdk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just default-jdk

Standard Java or Java compatible Development KitUbuntu 15.04devel2:1.7-52
sudo apt-get remove default-jdk

This will remove just the default-jdk package itself.

Uninstall default-jdk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove default-jdk

This will remove the default-jdk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for default-jdk then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge default-jdk

Or similarly, like this default-jdk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove default-jdk
