Uninstall just vlc-nox

sudo apt-get remove vlc-nox

This will remove just the vlc-nox package itself.

Uninstall vlc-nox and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove vlc-nox

This will remove the vlc-nox package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for vlc-nox then this will work.

sudo apt-get purge vlc-nox

Or similarly, like this vlc-nox

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove vlc-nox
