How To Uninstall eclipse-cdt-autotools On Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

To uninstall eclipse-cdt-autotools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just eclipse-cdt-autotools

Autotools support for Eclipse CDTUbuntu 16.04 LTSuniverse/devel8.6.0-1
sudo apt-get remove eclipse-cdt-autotools

This will remove just the eclipse-cdt-autotools package itself.

Uninstall eclipse-cdt-autotools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove eclipse-cdt-autotools

This will remove the eclipse-cdt-autotools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for eclipse-cdt-autotools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge eclipse-cdt-autotools

Or similarly, like this eclipse-cdt-autotools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove eclipse-cdt-autotools
