How To Uninstall cpp On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall cpp just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just cpp

GNU C preprocessor (cpp)Ubuntu 16.10interpreters4:6.1.1-1ubuntu2
sudo apt-get remove cpp

This will remove just the cpp package itself.

Uninstall cpp and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cpp

This will remove the cpp package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for cpp then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cpp

Or similarly, like this cpp

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cpp
