How To Uninstall juju-1-default On Ubuntu 16.10

To uninstall juju-1-default just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just juju-1-default

Juju is devops distilled – client (legacy juju-1 symlink)Ubuntu 16.10universe/devel1.25.6-0ubuntu2.16.10.1
sudo apt-get remove juju-1-default

This will remove just the juju-1-default package itself.

Uninstall juju-1-default and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove juju-1-default

This will remove the juju-1-default package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for juju-1-default then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge juju-1-default

Or similarly, like this juju-1-default

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove juju-1-default
